Reading Room

What is a Reading Room?
The Christian Science Reading Room is a peaceful oasis where everyone is welcome. You can come in to sit on the sofa and be quiet, or ask questions. You can stay for two minutes or two hours.
If you are interested in the Bible, we have a range of excellent Bible reference materials. We have the writings of Mary Baker Eddy including her major work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, which you can dip into, borrow or buy. There are biographies of Mrs Eddy which include accounts of her healing ministry. There are weekly and monthly magazines with inspirational articles and accounts of present-day healings.
Another very important resource available in the Reading Room is The Christian Science Monitor, an international newspaper founded by Mary Baker Eddy in 1908. The Monitor is famous for its distinctive high-quality journalism and its objective “to injure no man, but to bless all mankind”. It is available daily online and as a weekly magazine.
You can also listen on headphones to Christian Science audio presentations such as the Daily Lift and recorded lectures.
